German publication auto motor sport reports that FCA boss Marchionne confirmed a Wrangler truck. Some change in the engine Line-up for the Wrangler as well. The Pentastar recieves a big overhaul, FCA thinks about the 4-banger with 250 hp too.

A 8-speed auto will be optional.

Am I the only one who thinks these are pointless and downright ugly? That bed is tiny, and the wheel arches are going to make actual cargo space even smaller.

Totally. But that’s a trend in auto industry. They are making more and more niche vehicles. So there is not much room left for aftermarket companies.

I always wonderd why the Utes never had a breakthrough in the US. They are as useful as trucks in regions where you don’t need AWD. And they are cool, I think.

Ya here in Lethbridge, AB we have couple. JK8's I think they are are called.

Look pretty slick but are in that weird spot between the box being too small to be overly useful and not having a second row of seats.

I have no clue, they look very factory to me. But honestly I dont know. There is one down the street from me that looks like it could be a little older, but then there is another at a dealership that looks brand new.
